Matthew L. T. Harnett serves as Vice President and Senior Associate of F.N.B. Capital Corporation, LLC. The Northeast Ohio native joined the Company in April 2007. In this position, he conducts in-depth research and analysis of private equity investment and mezzanine debt opportunities and assists senior professionals in structuring, researching and negotiating investments in and out of privately-held companies.

Harnett manages the deal sourcing, negotiation, closing, deal management and eventual harvesting processes for subject investments. He is experienced in the execution and management of the complete transaction life-cycle, as demonstrated by several successful investments.

In advising potential clients, Mr. Harnett structures capital financing solutions for strategic acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, management buyouts, recapitalizations, ownership transfers and growth capital. He serves on respective portfolio company boards and provides ongoing consulting and strategic insight.

Harnett holds a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) degree (2006) from the University of Pittsburgh, Katz Graduate School of Business, with focused studies in Finance and Strategy. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration (2001) with a double major in Supply Chain Management & Logistics and Marketing from The Ohio State University, Fisher College of Business.

Prior to his employment with F.N.B. Capital Corporation, Harnett served four years at Ford Motor Company where he completed the Ford Management Training Program and rotated through analyst and management positions in finance, operations, service, sales and marketing. During his tenure, he was promoted to Zone Manager of the largest dealer market in the Great Lakes Market - Pittsburgh Region, and was responsible for annual franchisee revenues exceeding $300 million. He was named the 2006 Zone Manager Elite Achiever of the Year and was recognized as one of the top performing Zone Managers nationally for exceptional results in key areas including market share growth, profitability, wholesale, M&A market initiatives and customer satisfaction.

Harnett also served as an Investment Field Analyst for the Danter Company, where he conducted due diligence and market intelligence for commercial real estate investments. Additionally, while still completing his undergraduate studies, he earned his National Association of Securities Dealers Series 6 and Life, Health, and Disability Insurance Licenses and completed college internships as Financial Planner and College Unit Director for Northwestern Mutual Financial Network. He worked with middle-market businesses and high-net worth individuals and managed a team of ten financial planners. Team sales nearly tripled under his leadership.

Harnett, who serves on the Board of Economics Pennsylvania, resides with his family in Adams Township, PA.
