Mr. Rose is a Principal of Cap Gen Financial Advisors, a private equity firm specializing in banks and financial institutions. He has been a financial services executive, advisor, strategist and investor for over 30 years.

Over the last fifteen years he led investors in six turnaround banks, advised in four recapitalizations and established three de novo institutions. During this period, he was Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Bay View Capital Corp, a bank holding company, and Executive Vice President in charge of community banking at F.N.B. Corporation, a bank holding company.

Prior to 1991, Mr. Rose was President of a venture capital firm specializing in bank turnaround investments; SVP and Chief Financial Officer of LaSalle National Bank of Chicago; an investment banker at William Blair & Co; and a corporate banker at The First National Bank of Chicago. Mr. Rose is currently a member of the Investment Committee of Alpha Capital Partners LLC (a Chicago venture capital firm) and a member of the Executive Advisory Board of Glencoe Capital LLC (a Chicago private equity firm).

Mr. Rose is also a Director of F.N.B. Corporation (a bank holding company); Director of Great Lakes Bancorp, Buffalo (a bank holding company); Director of Jacksonville Bancorp, Florida (a bank holding company); Director of White River Capital Corp, Indianapolis (a financial services company); Director of Atlanta Bancorporation Inc. (a bank holding company); Director of First Chicago Bancorp. Inc, (a bank holding company).

Over the last 25 years, Mr. Rose has served on the Boards of twenty bank holding companies (excluding those listed above), most of which were troubled at the time he joined the Board, all have been successfully resolved. Mr. Rose has a Masters of Business Administration from Columbia University and a Bachelors of Arts from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland.
